"Prints" is actually a misnomer. Traditionally,
a print is a hand-made creation, an artform in and of itself
that is unique from painting. What I offer is a form of reproduction
called a "giclee", "pigment print" or
"archival inkjet print", to name a few terms. There
are many names used for the digital process of reproducing
original painting, photography, or digital art via the inkjet
medium. There are many kinds of inkjet printers used to create
"giclee prints" in today's art market. Collectors
should always find out exactly what they are getting, lest
they find themselves with an artwork fading overnight! In
general, a giclee is an archival inkjet print; a piece that
stands the test of time and light.
All of my reproductions are made with an Epson 7600, using
their Ultrachrome inkset on specialty media. I create each
one myself, with meticulous attention paid to color matching.
